Canadian Centre for Cyber Security: Detecting Advanced Threats with CCCS’s Cloud Based Sensor

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) plays a key role in providing an additional layer of security to the Government of Canada’s infrastructure. With the growing migration from Government owned data centers to various Cloud Service Providers, CCCS was faced with the new challenge of securing the Government of Canada in the cloud. See how CCCS has risen to this challenge and developed a home brewed Cloud Based Sensor to collect telemetry at scale and how this system was recently put to the test when a sophisticated actor compromised a Government Entity’s on premises network and pivoted into their O365 Cloud environment.
